Parish Amenities

Defibrillators

We have two Defibrillators (also known as an AED – Automatic External Defibrillator) both are accessible to everybody 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The original is located outside the Village Hall and the second is in the old telephone kiosk at the Woodbridge Inn near the Woodbridge Roundabout.

These devices, along with another at the Woodborough Garden Centre, collectively provide coverage across the Parish.

They are sophisticated pieces of equipment. When an emergency call is placed to the ambulance service and they deem it appropriate to use a defibrillator they instruct the caller to send someone to collect the device (also providing the access code to the box in which the AED is housed). Once the AED is at the scene the user should immediately attach the electrode pads to the victim and follow the audio instructions given by the Defibrillator –  AED’s are safe and cannot harm someone who has had a Cardiac Arrest.
